Roblox DevEx: the rate, the rules and how to cash out
Updated 4 November 2026 · By ClipClip
The short answer
$0.0038 per Earned Robux, so 30,000 Robux, the minimum you can cash out, pays $114. Some Robux from US players aged 18+ cash out at $0.0054. You need to be 13 or older, with 30,000 Earned Robux, a verified email, a DevEx Portal account and a tax form.
What your Robux are worth
| Earned Robux | Standard rate | US 18+ rate |
|---|---|---|
| 30,000 | $114 | $162 |
| 50,000 | $190 | $270 |
| 100,000 | $380 | $540 |
| 1,000,000 | $3,800 | $5,400 |
Our arithmetic at Roblox's two rates, before any tax. Only some Robux qualify for the US 18+ rate (below), so most cash-outs mix the two. Robux earned before 5 September 2025 cash out first, at the old rate of $0.0035.
What counts as Earned Robux
Robux your game and your creations earn:
- Sales of passes and developer products, subscriptions, paid private servers and paid access.
- Items sold on the Marketplace and models or plugins sold on the Creator Store.
- Creator Rewards, for daily engagement and audience expansion.
- Payouts from a group, if the group earned them fairly.
Not Earned Robux: Robux you bought, monthly Robux from a subscription, gift cards, trading or reselling items, Robux transfers you received, and anything from content Roblox moderated.
How to cash out
- On the Creator Hub (create.roblox.com), open Finances, then Cash Out at the top right.
- Fill in the form with your legal name (no nickname, no family member's name), the amount, and accept the terms.
- Click Cash Out. Roblox takes the Robux from your account while it reviews the request.
- The first time, you get an email from no-reply@roblox.com inviting you to the DevEx Portal. Add your payment method and tax form (W-9 in the US, W-8 elsewhere) within a week, or Roblox declines the request and refunds the Robux.
Then allow about 10 business days the first time and about 5 after that, plus your bank's own time. You can complete one cash-out per calendar month.
The US 18+ rate
Since 8 June 2026, Robux from passes, developer products, subscriptions and private servers bought by US players who verified they're 18+ (by facial age estimation or government ID) cash out at $0.0054, about 42% more. Only in eligible games:
- Player characters must be R15 avatars, custom human-shaped characters with full limbs, or non-human characters, 100% of the time. If anyone can spawn as or switch to R6, the game doesn't qualify.
- With Roblox avatars, set Studio's Avatar Settings to R15 Only.
- Roblox checks eligible games in the background and removes the rate from games that stop qualifying.
Why a request gets rejected
- The DevEx Portal registration wasn't finished within a week, or the tax form or payment method is missing.
- Not enough Earned Robux once Roblox reviews where they came from (the dashboard's balance is an estimate).
- A name that differs from earlier requests: contact Roblox Support before trying again.
- Breaking Roblox's rules: scams, stolen accounts, selling Robux outside DevEx.
More Robux to cash out means more players who spend: what brings them is in how to get more players on your Roblox game.
