Roblox game analytics: where to look and what's good

Updated 4 November 2026 · By ClipClip

The short answer

In the Creator Hub, open your game: Overview shows visits and 7-day averages, and Analytics has Retention, Engagement and Acquisition. What's good isn't one number: from 100 daily users, Roblox shows a benchmark from games with similar players. Get day 1 retention and session time to it first.

First time? Turn analytics on from the game's Overview (a verified email, 2-step verification, then Roblox's terms). Every metric shows once the game has had more than 10 daily users and 10 hours of play for 7 days in a row.

The numbers that matter

  • Day 1 retention: new players who come back the next day. Each date on the chart is the group of players who first played that day, so D7 fills in a week later.
  • Average session time: total time in the game divided by sessions.
  • Play-through rate: the share of players who play after seeing your game in Recommended For You. Your thumbnail, icon and name move it.
  • Payer conversion and ARPPU: the share of players who buy, and what a paying player spends.

What's good: your benchmark

With 100+ daily users, the dashboard compares your retention, session time, play-through rate and monetization with games that have similar players (or your genre, or all games, when there aren't enough). It shows a range: the 50th to the 90th percentile. In Roblox's own example, a day 1 benchmark of 12.11% to 18.73% means half of similar games are at 12.11% or lower, and one in ten at 18.73% or higher.

Roblox doesn't feed these benchmarks to its algorithm: they're for you. Under 100 daily users there's no benchmark, so watch your own trend from update to update.

What to fix, in order

  1. Day 1 retention and session time. Get players to the fun within 5 minutes, keep the tutorial short, and test the game on every kind of device.
  2. D7 and D30. Clear goals and a progression that lasts.
  3. Payer conversion and ARPPU (passes and developer products).
  4. Then bring players, and check all four after every update.

This is Roblox's own order, and Home rewards the same things: how it ranks games is in how to get more players on your Roblox game.

Questions

What is a good D1 retention on Roblox?

Roblox publishes no single number: it depends on the genre and the players. From 100 daily users, your dashboard shows the range for games with similar players (their 50th to 90th percentile). Match or beat it before you pay for players.

What is D1 retention in Roblox?

The share of new players who come back the day after their first visit. D7 and D30 are the same a week and a month later.

How do I see how many visits my Roblox game has?

Your game's page on Roblox shows its visits, and so does its Overview in the Creator Hub, next to 7-day averages of day 1 retention, new users, playtime, daily users and revenue.

Why is my Roblox analytics empty?

Check two things. Analytics have to be turned on: a verified email, 2-step verification, and Roblox's analytics terms accepted from the game's Overview. And every metric needs more than 10 daily users and 10 hours of play for 7 days in a row.

Can I see who played my Roblox game?

Not by name: the analytics count and average players. For a group's game, only the owner and roles allowed to see analytics can open them at all.
